This study analyzed the factors affecting the operational performance of the GOP Scientific Guard System and attempted to use it as a reference for the operation of the GOP Scientific Guard System and the relevant performance improvement projects. First, research models and hypotheses were established through prior research on the GOP Scientific Guard System, information system success model and success factors. Subsequently, a survey was conducted on the personnel currently operating the GOP Scientific Guard System, and the results were analyzed by structural equation method to confirm the factors affecting the System. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that GOP unit commanders and relevant regulations, factors related to the quality characteristics of the system, education & training and compensation are important to the operational performance of the GOP Scientific Guard System. This study is an empiri- cal study approaching the Scientific Guard System used in the forefront of military operations from the viewpoint of an information system success model and success factors. This research will serve a theoretical basis for the operation of various guard systems being considered by the military and will be used as a reference for which factors to focus on during Scientific Guard System project.
