미취학 아동의 정서지능 및 사회성에 대한 태권도 중심 신체활동 중재연구 = The Intervention Study of Taekwondo-oriented Physical Activity on Emotional Intelligence and Sociality in Preschoolers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Taekwondo-oriented physical activity on emotional intelligence(E.Q.) and sociality through 3 month Taekwondo intervention study. Participants were sixty preschool children who were assigned to either Taekwondo or control group and E.Q. and sociality were evaluated by kindergarten teacher in charge. Group × Age ANCOVA with the pre-tested value of E.Q. and sociality as a covariate was conducted. As the result, Taekwondo group showed greater self-control, other-awareness, and other-control relative to control group. Self-control ability in 5 years was superior than one in 6 years within Taekwondo group. Analysis of sociality revealed that interpersonal skill and social participation in Taekwondo group were better than control group, and the effect of Taekwondo on social participation was greater in 5 years relative to 6 years. The result implies that Taekwondo-oriented physical activity could be a valuable physical education for preschoolers to improve emotional intelligence and social skill.
