대학 캠퍼스 환경조각과 외부 공간의 관계에 관한 연구 : 서울 소재 대학교를 중심으로 = A study on the relationships of environment sculpture and outside space in campuses : focused on universities in Seoul

국문 초록 (Abstract)

고등교육의 확산으로 매년 늘어나는 학생을 수용하기 위해여 대학 캠퍼스 외부 공간 개발 과정에서 여러 가지 문제점이 생기고 있다. 서울시의 땅값이 오르면서 학교는 캠퍼스를 확장하지 못하고, 학교 시설 및 건물이 한 장된 공간에 세워지고 있다. 하지만 급격히 늘어나는 학생들을 수용하기에는 환경이 부족하며, 건물이 밀집된 공간에서 나타나는 문제점도 지속적으로 나타나기 시작하였다. 이러한 캠퍼스 외부공간에서 오는 부정적인 영향을 완화시키기 위해 캠퍼스 내에 환경조각이 설치된 외부공간이 필요하다.
지금까지 환경조각이 설치된 외부공간에 대한 연구는 진행되어 왔지만, 조각공원 그리고 도시공간과 건축공간에서의 조사로 한정되었다. 또한 환경조각이 설치되어 있는 외부공간에 위치와 공간의 성격을 분석하였다. 본 논문은 환경조각과 대학 캠퍼스의 외부공간을 대상으로 연구를 진행하려고 한다. 서울시에 있는 4년제 대학교 23곳을 선발하여서 101개소의 환경조각이 설치되어 있는 공간을 조사하였다. 환경조각의 특성과 외부공간의 특성을 도출하고, 그 두 항목을 교차 분석하여 관계성을 알아보기 위하여 조사 항목을 구축하였다.
환경조각이 설치된 대학 캠퍼스 외부공간은 위치, 행태, 진입방법으로 나누었고, 환경조각의 특성은 규모, 재료, 색채, 양식적 특성, 기능으로 분류된다. 조사해온 서울시 대학 캠퍼스의 환경조각 조성 공간의 특성과 환경조각의 특성 항목을 가지고 교차분석을 하여 관계성을 도출하였다
본 연구에서. 다른 환경조각과 외부공간을 조사한 연구와는 달리 대학 캠퍼스라 외부공간이라는 특이성에 중심을 두어 체계적으로 외부공간과 환경조각을 조사하였고, 두 사이의 관계성을 도출하였다. 이 결과를 토대로 앞으로 대학 캠퍼스를 이용하고 있는 학생과 지역주민들에게 필요한 환경조각 설치 공간을 만들기 위한 조성방향을 제시하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The expansion of higher education each year as it accommodates more students has resulted in several problems in the development of university campus outside spaces. As the land prices rose in Seoul, universities could not afford to expand their campuses . So universities built facilities and buildings of study in one space. However, the environment is not good enough to accommodate the rapidly growing students and problems began to appear steadily in crowded spaces. Reduce the negative impact of these campus spaces, university is required outside space which built in environment sculpture in campuses.
So far, research has been carried out on the outside spaces built in environmental sculptures, but the research has limited to research in sculpture park and urban spaces and architectural spaces. They also analyzed the location and character of the space in the outside space where environmental sculptures are installed.
This thesis conducted a study on environmental sculpture and outside space in the university campus. It has selected 23 four-year universities in Seoul and investigated the space on which 101 pieces of the environment sculptures were installed to derive characteristics of environmental sculpture and outside space
The two characteristics items were cross-analysis and research items were created to determine their relevance. The outside space in campus which an environmental sculpture is installed is divided by the location and the method of entry into the campus. Characteristics of environmental sculptures are classified as size, material, color, formal characteristics, and functions. The characteristics of the installation outside space and the characteristics of the environment sculpture at the university campus in Seoul were used to cross-reference and draw relevance.
In this study, project focused on the uniqueness of outside space in the university campuses. This project systematically examined outside space and environment sculpture and find out relationships between the two characters.
Based on these results, It provides directions for formation to create the environmental sculptures and outside spaces for students and local residents on campus.
