Travel reduction and pressure distribution on the float bottom of rice transplanters are studied. To improve the hill space the optimum travel reduction was found. And weight distribution of float with the variance of transplanting speed and mass center of float was analyzed.
Important conclusions to emerge from this study are:
1. The average ground contact pressure of float had the maximum value at the point 40~50cm from the rear and the minimum one at the front of the float. And it could be represented as parabolic equation.
2. The rear part of float was loaded higher pressure than that of the front part as 4~13times. And about 54-64% of total weight of rice transplanter was loaded on float, which was heavier weight than that on wheel.
3. The maximum float bottom pressure revealed at 100cm from the rear of float with 70kg of weight, and at the front of float with 90kg of weight.
