우주기술 전문인력 양성 및 우주기술 저변확대 프로그램 『2012 큐브위성 경연대회』소개 = Overview of 『2012 Cubesat Contest』for Student Education and Space Technology Outreach

국문 초록 (Abstract)

국내에서 최초로 시도되는 큐브위성 경연대회인『2012 큐브위성 경연대회』가 교육과학기술부 주최, 한국항공우주연구원 주관으로 우주기술 저변확대 및 전문인력 양성을 위해 2012 년 8 월 17 일 대회 공고와 함께 시작되었다. 2012 년 10 월 31 일 17 개 대학 23 개팀이 참가 신청서를 접수하여 2012 년 12 월 7 일 1 차 경연에서 6 팀이 선정되고, 2013 년 2 월 15 일 2 차 경연에서 최종 3 팀이 선정되었다. 선정된 3 팀은 앞으로 1 년여간의 큐브위성 제작과, 우주 환경 시험을 거친후에, 2015 년에 자체 제작한 큐브위성을 발사할 예정이다. 본 논문에서는 경연대회를 통해 최종 선정팀이 선발되기까지의 교육 및 경연 프로그램을 소개하고 최종 선정팀의 큐브위성 임무에 대해 기술한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

From August 2012, KARI and MEST in Korea hosted and organized 『2012 Cubesat Contest』program providing the chance for students of universities to learn satellite technology. Until now, this program is going successfully with participating many students from over 20 universities. This program consists of two workshop programs and 2-step contest especially focusing mission and design of cube satellite. In the point of contest, this program finally choose 3 teams with 2-step contest, each is ’12.12.7 and ’13.2.15, after submitting participant sheet. 1st contest mainly evaluates uniqueness of cubesat mission. It has been held in KARI participating 17 teams from 13 universities. From 1st contest, 6 teams are passed with outstanding missions. And near future in Feb. ’13, 2nd contest will be held. Main evaluation criteria is possibility of system implementation. In this paper, we will describe overview and outstanding missions of 『2012 Cubesat Contest』in detail.
