학부모 이해: 소비자권력이 된 학부모 = Parent-Educator Understandings: Parent-Educator in consumer`s power

국문 초록 (Abstract)

그 누구도 책임지는 교육을 하지 않는 현실에서 학부모들은 자신들의 학력과 경제력을 바탕으로 자녀의 성공한 미래를 만들기 위해, 자신의 의도대로 차별화된 사교육을 구매하는 적극적인 소비자가 되었다. 그리고 정보를 독점하고 배급하여 사교육시장·교사·학교·국가정책 등에 전 방위적으로 영향력을 행사하는 권력자가 되었다. 이들을 "소비자권력이 된 학부모"라고 개념화 하고자 한다. 먼저 소비자권력이 된 학부모는 일반학부모와 어떻게 다른지, 어떻게 탄생하게 됐는지를 조사하였다. 그리고 이 학부모들 중에 소비자권력이 된 학부모의 개념정립을 위해 교육행위 양상을 5개 범주로 나누어, 드러내고 분석하였다. 정보독점과 배급, 차별화된 사교육 구매, 성공사례 만들기와 확산, 중앙지향의 의식과 행위, 전 방위적 영향력 등 이 다섯 가지 행위양식이다. 이 연구는 궁극적으로 학생 스스로가 교육주체가 되고 정보지식이 되는 공적 교육체계의 회복을 희망한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to conceptualize of Parent-Educator as a person in consumer`s power. The concept, ``Parent-Educator in consumer`s power``, is suggested to establish a frame of reference for educational understanding about a parent-child relationship. This study intends to make clear first the difference between parent-educator in consumer`s power and common school parent, and next the way and process that he(she) has been born in these days. This key concept is for figuring out some educational phenomena among which economic principles have been applied to school field and consumers has had power over suppliers. All parents have the strong desire that normal schooling system could do the educational responsibility for their children`s successful lives and stable future. But neither school system nor the government tried to do such a duty, which led well-educated parents with economic power to take up a positive attitude for their children`s lives and future. They started to have great influence on education, leading to make a special educational zone in Korea and Daegu and to incapacitate the government from practicing public education. They are named ``Parent-Educator in consumer`s power``, In fact, they are exercising their omnidirectional influence on private education market, school system and national policy, through merchandising several kinds of private education differentiated by their own intention and exclusively distributing educational information for keeping their own zone.
