This research is based on his 'paideia'(education) concept, found in Plato's works of [Republic] and [Laws]. When we look at [Republic] from an angle of physical education, Plato weighs more on soul education. However, he also confirms that the physical education is essential, and, in this regard, Plato perceives that the body is united with a spirit. Plato affirms that, to be a superman, or kalokagathos, he should be instructed with both of soul education and physical education. In [Laws], physical education is set as a main curriculum from a prerequisite level. Plato tells us the importance in the antenatal training, recommending physical activities for pregnant women. He stressed that magnificent body is built upon the steady and active physical activities since childhood, as long as the body is properly protected to avoid any injury. Plato thought that habitual and team basis sport can stimulate physical exercises, a venturesome spirit and the creativity. These implements are linked to Plato's theory on kalokagathos, and here, he illustrates its importance and need. In conclusion, Plato acknowledges that the physical education, which is the fundamental in physical development, is the inevitable factor in forming the person's body and spirit as ideally harmonized. Plato also explains that kalokagathos, which is the accord in body and spirit, is the essential condition in his philosophy.
