The image of female characters in contemporary Indian films has attracted much attention, especially films like < Dangal >, < Secret Supersta > and < Toilet - Ek Prem Katha > such popular films. These films not only successfully attract a wide audience, but also profoundly touch people's attention to social change and cultural identity. Through real and vivid storylines, they successfully convey profound exploration and thinking about family, society and self-understanding, becoming a powerful medium for social change and emotional resonance. The female images created in these films break away from traditional constraints and show the strong inner strength and unique personality charm of Indian women.
The female images in these films, whether they are traditional submission and weakness, or modern self-realization and brave pursuit, are all displayed and developed in different historical and social backgrounds. They face up to social challenges, pursue self-awareness and independent develop ment, and inject new vitality and impetus into the progress and diversified development of Indian society. The female images in these films are intertwined with the background of Indian society, showing the multiculturalism, traditional values,contradictions and challenges in the modernization process of Indian society. As research processed, we can better understand the changes and evolution of the images of women in Indian society, as well as the profound social significance and cultural value behind the change. This study is divided into the following six chapters:
