      This study was conducted to develope criterion-referenced evaluation standards of high school `Technology` subject. The purpose of the study was to develope assessment standards of Technology subject-matter in Korea. In this study, criterion-referenced evaluation standards were developed through a series of meetings with high school teachers. The objectives of the research were ; (a) to analyze the 6th national high school curriculum and set up the minimum area required ; (b) to produce assessment standards for high school 「Technology」 subject in the basis of developed achievement standards. In developing the standards, assessment standards were the detailed statement at the level of performance, superior performance level, acceptable performance level, and inferior performance level, reflecting practical guide for teaching-learning in the classroom According to the results of the development project, the major findings of the study are as follows ; (a) for the analysis of 6th national high school curriculum, the minimum area was developed for each achievement area. (b) for the development of assessment standards, seventy six standards were produced. (c) for the development of sample assessment items, fifty one items were produced. Items included multiple-choice, free-response, essay-type, and performance-type problems. Therefore, standards for high school 「Technology」 subject can provide guidance for teachers to improve their teaching and technology education programs. Furthermore, these standards will provide criteria for students assessment, teacher preparation and enhancement, and improvement of the learning environment.
