This article is prepared to analyze cross-border policies between Russia and Kazakhstan. There is the world's longest land border between two states with a short stretch of a sea border in the Caspian Sea. In study of international relations and gepolitics, the subject of territorial and boundary conflicts has run throughout whole modern era. But in Post-modern era, cross-border policies and cooperation are new trends among states. After the wreckage of the Soviet empire, a lot of complicated and urgent problems took place. Territorial and ethnic conflicts in Russia - Kazakhstan border areas are one of the typical problems. The authorities of the two countries were convinced that the border should remain porous or even nominal and that outer CIS frontiers should receive the greatest attention. The cross-border policies and cooperation is the fruit of many years of both states' hard efforts. Now I expect peaceful solution for all territorial and boundary conflicts in post-soviet areas.
