This paper examines the distribution patterns of generated and pulled commuting trips in Seoul and extracts regional linkage systems by means of graph theory based on OD data matrix about commuting trips by zones(dong units). Generated trip is large in densely inhabited residential areas and pulled trip is large in CBD and sub-CBDs. The rate of interregional trip is low, so that it seems job-housing mismatch is serious. There are 15 linkage systems extracted as the result of regional linkage system analysis based on adjacency matrix. The regional linkage systems of Seoul can be divided into largely CBD system which is the largest and most complicated, Yo˘ksam-dong system, and Yo˘u˘ido-doong system. Central places are formed by 4 hierarchies. Of them the 4th central place is Jongro-dong, the 3rd places are Yo˘ksam-dong, Yo˘u˘ido-dong, and Samso˘ng-dong. In other words, these regions are the growing new central places of urban economic activities in Seoul.
