      The purpose of this study was to evaluate the content validity of items from widely used transition needs assessments, including Transition Behavior Scale-2, Enderle-Severson Transition Rating Scale-Revised, LCCE Performance and Knowledge Battery, and Transition Planning Inventory-2-Revision, and to propose test items of transition needs assessments for transition planning of youth with disabilities, based on the evaluation. We reviewed all items from four assessments and total 63 items were chosen first and content validity index (CVI) was calculated based on CVI of the items judged by seven professionals in special education and transition. Based on the results of the content validity test, transition needs assessments, comprised of total 56 items, were developed and its CVIs were above .60 averagely, and thus the items were thought to be suitable to identify transition needs of the students. A significance of this study was to provide content validity of test items as preliminary data in standardizing an transition needs assessment. Implications for future research and practice were discussed.
