農漁村副業團地의 現況과 商品性 提高方案 = A Study on the Present Condition and the Rasing Value of Products in Rural Side-Business Estates

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Since 1964 government have brought up rural side-business estates in order to increase non-farm income by using idle-labor and by-products.
All over the country 754 estates are established and they produce folk arts, food stuffs general crafts etc.
Although the policies on bringing up the estates have been exposed many problems, trials and errors because of immoderate guantity-aimed growth policies, they are evaluated to improve non-farm income directly and indirectly. Especially the income account for more than 80 percent of indiret income in the regional economy.
Most estates have the problems ; the business is small in scale, expansion of marketing is diffcult and capital and technology is deficient.
Rasing value of products is important for activation of rural side-business estates. In this paper I make some what general suggestions since may be different with the character of products.
First, producers should keep studying what consumers want. In other words producers should try to pursue profit through satisfying consumers. Second, goverment and producers should recognize that rural side-business produces necessities and plays a role in solving the rural esconomic and social problems. Third, goverment should support practically on finance, expansion of markets, reserch and development of products, etc.
Forth, goverment should restrain import of foreign perfect products.
