A multi-patch formulation for the isogeometric analysis of shear deformable shell elements is presented. The geometrically exact shell formulation in isogeometric framework is derived in the curvilinear coordinate system. For an adjacent patches, the parametric and geometric continuity conditions are considered. The coupling constraints are derived in a master-slave formulation and then enforced by a condensation of the slave variables. The influence of those continuity conditions to the isogeometric solutions is investigated through numerical examples.
