자기성찰기반 교양수업에서 나타난 대학생의 이상적 인간상에 관한 내러티브 연구 = A narrative study on an introspection-based class for college students in developing an ideal self

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to understand the ideal self of current college students and suggest implications for value education in the university setting by analyzing the experience of college students who explore their ideal self and make efforts to change in an introspection-based class in the liberal arts curriculum. The results showed that the ideal self of college students shown in the introspection-based class were found largely in three types. The first type is of the students who reflected on the problem that they have lived not their own lives but someone else's life by being overly self-conscious of other people's standards, then set their ideal self as "the person who knows what it means to be me and live my own life," and made efforts to change through a series of introspection activities that facilitated looking into themselves which was an exercise to which they hadn't previously given much attention. The second type is of the students who reflected on the problem that they have overly pressured themselves or had fallen into a self-rationalization mode but ultimately lived lazy lives due to the absence of a dream and life goal, set their ideal self as "the person who has a dream and challenges themselves passionately to achieve that dream" and attempted to change through self-management processes such as goal management, time management, and competency management. Finally, the third type is of the students who reflected on the problem of being in superficial relationships due to their indifference to their environment and people in their surroundings, set their ideal self as "the person who pays attention and cares about others and their surroundings," and sought to assertively express themselves to others in a non-aggressive or non-passive way and behave in an appropriate manner within their relationships starting from those people closest to them such as their family and further to relationships between themselves and even nature itself.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자기성찰기반으로 이루어지는 교양수업에서 대학생이 이상적인 인간상을 탐색하고 변화를 위해 노력하는 경험을 분석함으로써 현 시대 대학생의 이상적 인간상을 이해하고 대학 교양교육에서의 가치관 교육에 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 자기성찰기반 교양수업에서 나타난 대학생의 이상적 인간상은 크게 3개 유형으로 나타났다. 첫 번째 유형은 주변의 시선을 의식하여 내가 아닌 다른 사람의 삶을 살아온 문제를 반성하고, “나다움을 알고 나의 삶을 사는 사람”을 이상적 인간상으로 설정하여, 이제까지 관심을 주지 않았던 자기 자신을 들여다보는 자기성찰을 통해 변화하고자 노력하였다. 두 번째 유형은 꿈과 목표가 없어 스스로를 지나치게 압박하거나 혹은 자기합리화를 하며 나태한 삶을 살았던 문제를 반성하고, “꿈을 가지고 열정적으로 도전하고 노력하는 사람”을 이상적 인간상으로 설정하여, 목표관리, 시간관리, 역량 관리 등 철저한 자기관리를 통해 변화하고자 노력하였다. 마지막으로 세 번째 유형은 주변사람 및 환경에 대한 무관심으로 인한 피상적 관계의 문제를 반성하고, “관심과 배려가 있는 사람”을 이상적 인간상으로 설정하여, 가까운 가족에서부터 멀리는 자연환경에 이르기까지 관계 맺어진 것들에 대해 적극적으로 표현하고 실천하고자 노력하였다. 이상적 인간상을 도출하는 수업을 통해 자기성찰기반의 가치교육 수업의 특징 및 시사점을 도출하여 제시하였다.
