논문 : 정치철학의 의미에 대한 하나의 탐구 = Search for the Meaning of Political Philosophy

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 정치철학의 의미를 가능하다면 보다 포괄적인 입장에서 이해하려는 하나의 시도이다． 본 논문은 정치철학이 사장과 이론 그리고 방법 및 역사가 서로 교류하는 하나의 학문이 될 수 있다는 가정으로부터 출발하여 그 가능성을 제시해 주고자 한다． 따라서 본 논문은 ‘모든 정치철학은 다 정치사장이지만， 모든 정치사장이 다 정치철학은 아니다’ 와 같은 정치철학에 대한 이해방식을 따르지는 않을 것이다． 본 논문이 근본적으로 전제하고 있는 것은 정치철학의 의미가 단지 ‘지혜’ 에 대한 앎만을 의미하는 철학의 영역으로 축소되어 이해될 필요가 없다는 점이다． 포괄적인 입장께서 논의를 전개한다는 취지에 따라서 본 논문은 논의 과정에서 정치철학에 대해서 어떤 분명한 규정을 내리는 일은 피할 것이다． 정치철학의 의미가 철학에 대한 특정의 고정관념의 틀을 통해 편협하게 이해될 이유는 없을 것이며， 따라서 정치철학에 내재해 있는 반성능력과 현실 비판의 능력이 제한될 이유도 없을 것이다． 본 논문이 보여주고자 하는 것은 정치철학이 전제하고 있는 철학이 순수 이론과 사장의 영역에만 머물러서는 안 되고， 인간 삶의 구체적 경험과 역사의 문제까지도 자신의 영역 속으로 끌어들여야 한다는 점이다． 그렇게 되었을 때 정치철학은 자신의 의미를 더욱 풍성하게 만들 수 있을 것이다． 요컨대 본 논의가 보여주고자 하는 것은 정치철학이 진정한 의미의 정치철학이 되려면， 그것은 사회철학 그리고 여타의 인문· 사회과학의 이론들 그리고 필요하다면 역사 및 역사적 현실과의 교류를 통해 자신의 ‘논리적 역사’ , 즉 ‘지식내부사’를 전개시킬 필요가 있다는 점이다．

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is a try to understand the meaning of political philosophy. It will explore the meaning of political philosophy from the various aspects, and through this, it will try to present a unified model of a political philosophy. For that purpose, this paper will develop a discussion on the basis of a rather comprehensive and problem-inducing stream of consciousness, and thereby consider the question of political philosophy in all its aspects. But this paper will avoid to give a clear definition of the political philosophy: There would be no reason why political philosophy should confine itself to a fixed framework of idea, and why it should, under the name of philosophy meaning ``wisdom``, cripple its reflective capability and critical power of the reality inherent in itself. Especially, this it will show the limitations and problems of the way of thinking like ``all political philosophy is political thought but not all political thought is political philosophy``. In conclusion, this paper will show that political philosophy needs a communication, not only with the philosophy and social philosophy, but also other human & social sciences, and that if necessary, there should be an exchange between political philosophy and historical realities; in this way, political philosophy should develop its own ``internal history``, d. h. ``logical history``.
