An international mode based upon the mechanism world view of moder'n science paradigm has overwhelmed serious worries in the international modes of the early modernists, been in the saddle as a mode, and caused critical environmental problems to human beings and the nature in consequence of design works which depended on the consumption of unreconcilable resources such as fossil fuels and simply concentrated on the functional rationality of scientific technology, with the uncontentable propensity which does not consider urban contexts and natural environments.
The whole-minded and ecological world view, which gathered strength as a way for the improvement of the above-mentioned environment with today environment problems radically recognized, is a thought needed for the turnover to new balance before the ecosystem of the earth loses its balance any more.
This study, the environmental design for the aged, is designed in to preserve the positive aspect of old age an to constitute the own cultural area which can solve the problems of the aged.
Old people's welfare facilities have to be a pleasant place, which is not a hiding place but, a place of creative life, and which can be built up by planning the aspect of the ecology and the characteristics of the aged.
