프로스포츠에서 선수와 선수대리인의 관계 분석 = ANALYSIS OF THE PLAYER AND AGENT RELATIONSHIP IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS

With the recent massive increases in compensation paid to athletes and skyrocketing sports revenues due to media attention and related factors, problems in the player and agent relationship have arisen and are bound to continue to arise.
The purpose of this study is to manage this sort of problems effectively. This study, however, does not pretend to include a comprehensive catalog of all the provisions necessary in a player and agent contract.
But, in conclusion, the author does intend to make two things clear: (1) a written contract is desirable; and (2) its drafting is no simple matter. Care must be taken to draft and agreement that fully expresses all of the particulars of the player and agent relationship.
The potential for such problems can only be limited by careful selection of an agent, careful drafting of an agreement, and if necessary, by increased regulation of agents by entities in maintaining the integrity of the sport.
