Major industrial sectors in India, such as education, finance, agriculture, and medical care, have been converted to digital in policy since Modi took power, and as a result, the ICT industry and the e-commerce market are rapidly growing. India's digital environment has changed rapidly over the past decade to the extent that it is called the 碧 Sea, which is driven by several factors such as improvement of payment infrastructure due to the development of ICT and e-commerce, development of information and communication technology, and immediate government policies, incentives, and deregulation. In addition, the socio-economic background of monetary reform and the COVID-19 pandemic has further accelerated the digitalization of payments as it induces the Indian people to experience using digital payment methods. In the end, it can be said that India's digital transformation occurred not as a single factor or cause, but as a synergy of various factors. Therefore, this paper examines three factors (public digital infrastructure, government initiatives, and socioeconomic background) among the factors that caused the digital transformation in India, respectively, in the main body. After that, it examines the current status of India's ICT industry and e-commerce industry, which are rapidly growing due to the digital transformation, and presents the challenges and future prospects that India must solve in order to face a true digital transformation in the future.
