Recently, societal interest in forming apartment complex communities is increasing. This can be seen in discussions about introduction of the concept of community and plans to activate physical spaces. This study aims to find out the spacial conditions of community facilities of the recently constructed national lease housing and the residential requests from diverse households and to provide basic materials for planning community facilities. Among the national lease housing constructed after 2007, one case from Seoul and one case from Gyeongi-do were selected and residents in diverse households were interviewed in details.
The study findings are as follows. among the facilities of the national lease housing, indoor exercise facilities and learning facilities were found to be most deficient. Therefore, learning spaces for children and adolescents need support. Among the community facilities, the demand to change the use of the residents" meeting room was the highest. Because there was deficiency in indoor facilities, increasing its usability was in demand.
Outdoor exercise facilities showed a high installation rate. Their exterior was good, but their operation/management was not satisfactory. In order for the residents not to experience inconvenience, active operation and management improvement of them are needed.
