마을기반 학교교과목 개발 경험에 대한 질적 사례연구 = A Qualitative Case Study on the Experiences of Community-basedSchool Subject Development

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글의 목적은 초등학교 교사들의 마을기반 학교교과목 개발 경험의 교육적 의미와 가치를 질적 사례연구를 통해 조명하는 데 있다. 연구결과를 간략하게 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 참여 교사들은 마을기반 학교교과목을 개발하는 과정에서 학교-마을교육과정의 유연성과 지속가능성을 추구하였다. 둘째, 참여 교사들은 마을기반 학교교과목을 개발하는 과정에서 교육과정 전문성과 문해력을 신장함으로써 방법주의와 탈숙련화 된 교수문화에서 벗어날 수 있었다. 셋째, 참여 교사들은 마을의 인적 및 물적 자원을 통하여 학생들의 배움에 생동감을 불어넣고, 학교교과목의 지역성을 바탕으로 학교와 마을을 연결함으로써 내 고장 인재를 키울 수 있었다. 이 연구는 질적 사례연구를 통하여 초등학교 교사들의 마을기반 학교교과목 개발 경험을 이야기함으로써 교사의 교육과정 문해력과 전문성을 강화하고, 학교교육의 창의성과 지역성을 실현하는 데 기여할 것이다. 또한, 이 연구의 결과는 교사들과 교사교육자의 협력적인 실행연구를 바탕으로 마을기반 학교교과목 개발의 교육적 의미와 가치를 공유하고 확산하는 데 기여할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this paper is to look into the experiences of elementary school teachers in developing community-based school subjects through a qualitative case study. The results can be summarized as follows. Firstly, participating teachers sought flexibility and sustainability of the school-community curriculum in the process of developing community-based school subjects and textbooks. Secondly, two elementary school teachers were able to shatter the existing methodology and de-skilled teaching culture by enhancing curriculum expertise and literacy to develop community-based school subjects. Thirdly, participating teachers were able to nurture local talents by instilling vitality in students’ learning leveraging the human and material resources of the community, and by connecting schools and community based on the locality of school subjects. This paper will contribute to enhancing teachers’ curriculum literacy and professionalism and realizing the creativity and locality of school education by narrating the experiences of elementary school teachers in developing community-based school subjects and textbooks. In addition, the results of this paper will contribute to sharing the meaning and value of community-based school subjects development based on collaborative action research between elementary school teachers and teacher educator.
