      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      In these days, the water treatment by coagulation is the essential physiochemical process in the first and third steps of the wastewater management. The coagulation process, which is very important in wastewater treatment, is being studied actively. But inorganic coagulants have possibilities of harmful affection to human beings, so it is regulated to use in some parts of wastewater treatments.
      Chitosan, one of the natural polyelectrolytes, is har㎖ess for human but also high Bio-degradation degree, and it is considered to be suitable for treating high concentrated Wastewater because it is very efficient to coagulate variable colloid suspended solids.
      In the case of using inorganic coagulants, it should be used limitedly because the more additive of chemicals the less activities of microbes. It resulted in much better efficiencies when using a Chitosan or a mixed Chitosan+Alum then just using a Alum.
      Because chitosan has an excellent ability of coagulation and the high bio-degradation Degree, it think that the using method of chitosan could decrease the loads in second step of wastewater management, and also produced sludges from the process are able to reuse and recycle.
