율곡 효사상의 현대적 가치와 “동거계사”를 통한 세계적인 한국적 가정문화형성론 - 김장생의 효정신의 함의와 전승에 대한 인식 - = Contemporary Value of Yulgok’s Thought of Filial Piety and Korean Family Culture Reflected on Donggeogyesa(同居戒辭) - Focuses on the Inheritance Relationship of Sagye Kim Jang-saeng

국문 초록 (Abstract)

율곡은(1536-1584) 퇴계(1501-1570)와 함께 한국철학사상의 터전을 자리잡은 위대한 인물이다. 모두가 알고 있듯이 율곡은 한국의 도학자요, 철학자이면서 교육사상가요 특유의 경세철인이다. 그러나 그 보다도 연구자가 존신하는 것은 평생을 통해 효로 점철된 표준적 인간상이었으며 가장 세계적인 한국의 효사상을 정립한 점을 꼽고 싶다.
특히 만년에는 세계 역사상 유례가 없는 가정규범을 통한 100여명의 식솔들이 가족과 더불어 모여 한 집안(一家)이 화동(和同)하여 즐겁고 행복하게 살아갈 수 있는 전범을 남겼다.
오늘날 과학의 발전과 산업화의 후유증으로 인해 이익사회가 되었고 이기주의가 만연되어 비혼족(非婚族)이 늘고 젊은이의 이혼율과 노인들의 황혼이혼이 날로 늘고 있다. 더구나 저출산이 극심하고 독거노인의 자살율의 증가로 경제는 발전하고 있지만 이미 행복한 나라가 아니다. 이런 일들은 근본적으로 효사상과 무관하지 않다. 이를 뒤늦게 알게 된 정부는 막대한 재정지원에도 타락한 효문화가 핵이 된 정신문화가 타락한 현실을 극복하기가 쉽지 않다. 이런 때에 율곡의 효사상과 효문화와 효교육정신으로 가장 살기 좋은 ‘행복한 나라로 바로 세우기’를 위한 국가교육정책을 강력히 제안한다.
본 연구의 목적은 다문화 국가시대를 맞아 우리 민족문화의 정체인 효문화와 효사상과 효교육정신이 휘 갈리는 때에 행복한 복지국가 건설을 위해 혁신적인 한국적 가족문화 형성을 재정립하여 국력을 집중시키는데 기여하려는 것이다.
이러한 정신이 사계 김장생(1548-1631, 명종3년 - 인조9년)의 효정신으로 전승되었음을 인식케 하려는 또 하나의 의도가 여기에 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

With Toegye (1501-1570) Yulgok (1536-1584) was one of the two major thinkers developed the foundation of Korean philosophy. As we all know, Yulgok was just a outstanding thinker of Daoism, philosophy and education, but also a unique political economist. Still, Yulgok was a standard man of filial piety through his life and created the foundation of the world class Korean thought of filial piety.
During the middle of Joseon dynasty, Yulgok insisted the reform at the time of total crisis. However, he faced the wall and decided to move to Haeju in Hwanghae-do Province with over 100 family members after resign his public and government posts. He left the example of the family rules for the happiness and joyful living of this member as a one family that never existed in the East Asia until then. This is the rules of famous rules of Yulgok, the Donggeogyesa (同居戒辭). To teach his young nephew and son Bibok, he wrote it in Hangul of the time in his own writing. This rule consists of 9 categories.
Just like the time of Yulgok, today’s Korea experiences the total crisis in education and economy. This study focuses on the policy of family education culture with filial piety in the policy of education. The reason is that the family, the foundation of the nation is collapsing.
As the aftereffects of the modernization focused on the development of science and industrialization, urbanization resulted the problem of agricultural society with materialism. Selfishness spread out and single family and divorce rates of young and old are rising fast. More seriously, low birth-rate and the suicides single elderly people are rising, too. Economic development is not the key for the country with happiness.
This phenomena do not fundamentally related to the neglect of the policy not concerning the Korean thought of filial piety and education of filial piety culture. The government realized the problems and put a great amount of budget and population policy. Still, it was not fast enough, but most importantly it was very difficult to overcome the tainted condition because of the lack of filial piety culture education.
This study tries to provide a way to reset the foundation of the innovative national policy of the better nation. At this time of total crisis Yulgok’s thought of filial piety and policy of filial piety education can be an answer. Yulgok’s thought inherited to Sagye Kim Jang-saeng (金長生;1548-1631) and developed into a culture of Joseon’s ye and this is another aim of this study to emphasize.
