An election is a decision making process where a population chooses an individual to hold official offices. This is the usual mechanism by which modem democracy fills offices in the legislature, sometimes in the executive and judiciary, and for regional and local government. This is also typically the case in a wide range of other private and business organizations, from clubs to voluntary associations and corporations. This paper proposes a new election campaign technique using mobile phone. The proposed technique has the potential of being cheaper and less time-consuming to campaign administrator than existing campaign techniques. We present the design and prototype of the election campaign support system to embody the proposed technique. The mobile based support system allows voters to get their candidates’ information quickly and with minimal effort. This system may be a solution to increasing young voters participation.
