유아체육 참여 동기 연구를 위한 이론적 모형 고찰 = Review on Theoretical Models for Motivational Process in Early childhood Physical Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 유소년들이 체육활동에 참여하는 동기를 설명하는 이론적 모형을 고찰하는 것이다. 유소년 체육활동의 동기화 과정을 설명하는 이론 중 전통적으로 가장 많이 인용되는 Harter(1978)의 유능감동기이론(Competence Motivation Theory)과 Eccles(1983)의 기대-가치모형(Expectancy-Value Model)의 내용을 유아 체육현장에 적용하여 설명하였다. 체육활동에 필요한 능력에 관한 자기 평가, 유쾌한 정서적 경험, 그리고 사회적 지지와 배려는 체육활동 참여 동기의 예측요인으로 두 이론에서 공통적으로 확인되었다. 본 리뷰논문은 아이들의 스포츠 활동의 동기화 과정을 이해하고 연구하는데 필요한 이론적 틀을 제공할 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to review theoretical models of achievement motivation in youth sport. Harter(1978)`s Competence Motivation Theory and Eccles(1993)`s Expectancy-Value Model were reviewed and applied to the field of youth sport because they are the most frequently referred among theories on motivational process in youth sport. Self-perception on ability, positive affective experience, and social support were identified as predictors for motivational process for youths to participate in a sports program. This review article will provide a theoretical frame for us to understand and study motivational process for youth`s sport participation.
