      In this work, we developed an analytical method for determining 18 illicit compounds and analyted for screening and confirmation of 76 illicit compounds in foods and dietary supplements. We monitored 292 food items categorized into sexual enhancement, weight loss, muscular strengthening or relaxing products in online markets. This study was to monitor illegally adulterated foods were assayed using a simultaneous analytical method involving high performance liquid chromatography and LC coupled with tandem mass spectrometry. In 66 of 292 samples, we detedcted 20 different illegal compounds, including Sildenafil, Tadalafil, Yohimbine, Melatonin, Synephrine and Andarine. Approximately 22 % of the tested samples were identified as having been illicitly adulterated. When purchasing products marketed for foods and dietary supplements, ulmost care should be taken owing to the possible presence of these illegal compounds. These results indicate that a continuous monitoring of illegal compounds is required for the safety management in various foodstuffs.
