Currently, the military is planning to build a multi-layer integrated network required in the future battlefield environment by utilizing a ground tactical network and satellite communication networks(geostationary orbit and low Earth orbit satellites). Research on routing protocols for an integrated network is essential to build an integrated network. In this study, we propose a routing protocol considering load balancing and smooth information circulation, and verify the effectiveness of integrated routing through M&S analysis.
The amount of information flow for the ground tactical network, low Earth orbit satellite network, and integrated network are predicted and analyzed. Through this, it is confirmed that the integrated network using the routing protocol proposed in this study is effective in load balancing and utilization of limited bandwidth. It is expected that the integrated routing protocol proposed in this study will be used in the basic routing design of the integrated network planned by the military
