Today's environment of ever increasing competition, the management skills in all aspects of the field and the accumulation of self-developed technologies become essential to be successful in the world of business.
Obtaining the goal of more succesful achievements in its own field of business, it is sought that high technology and capital intensive industires can be the shortest way to get rapid economic growth in the coming 1980's.
Since korea lacks in the natural resources, these industries become more relevant choice, they require extensive technical developments and accumulations which can be accomplished primarily by employers educational training and research and development programs.
Although many Korean enterprises rarely recognize the fact that employers educational training programs is in absolute necessity to be more competitive and reality these programs are not systematically exercised.
Variable Document study and a Investigation report surveyed the detailed practices of employers education training programs offered by Korean overseas construction Companies and Major on finance Business which contributed significant amount of increased domestic employment and the improvement in Korea's balance of payment in the last 1970's.
As a result of the study, following recommendations were established ;
1. At least 2% of gross income should be reinvested in specific long term manpower development programs.
2. Top management's support of the employers educational training program should be active enough to accomplish the program effective and economical.
3. To be effective employers educational training program, expert teching staff should be enrolled.
4. The content of the program should be teching of not only technical skill knowledge but also included human-side responsibility and welfare to the society they belong.
5. Participating employers should have sincere attitude toward their duties and responsibilities.
6. The program's scope and scale should be within the capabilities of the enterprise.
