코로나 시기 대학생의 애착 안정성: 성인애착 유형과 정서조절, 어머니의 정서적 가용성을 중심으로 한 단기 종단 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

애착이 전 생애에 걸쳐 비교적 안정적인 특성을 보이는 동시에 환경에 의해 변화 가능한 구조라는 점에서 애착 안정성의 메커니즘을 밝히는 것은 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학생(만 19세 ~24세) 113명을 대상으로 성인애착 유형과 정서조절, 어머니의 정서적 가용성의 관계를 알아보는 단기 종단 연구를 실시하였다. 코로나 팬데믹을 기점으로 2번의 시기에 걸쳐 자기보고식 설문지를 통해 대학생의 성인애착을 측정하고, 정서조절능력, 대인관계불편감, 그리고 어머니의 정서적 가용성과의 관계를 확인하였다. 연구 결과, 코로나 팬데믹 동안 성인애착 안정성을 유지하는 대학생 집단이 그렇지 않은 대학생 집단과 비교하여 낮은 대인관계 불안을 보고하였고, 높은 수준으로 어머니의 정서적 가용성을 경험하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 성인애착의 안정성과 변화성에 대한 경험적 증거를 축적하고, 국내 대학생을 대상으로 코로나 팬데믹의 영향 하에 청년기 성인애착의 안정성을 종단 연구의 방법으로 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Attachment theory focuses on relationships and bonds, particularly long-term. These early bonds, formed during the initial years of life, are not just transient but play a pivotal role in shaping the child's future emotional health and relationships, influencing attachments throughout life. The longitudinal stability of attachment styles, a pivotal aspect of attachment theory, has the potential to change over time as well. Consequently, it is important to examine the underlying assumptions. For these reasons, this study examines the stability and change in attachment styles with a focus on college students(19 ~ 24 years old) using a short-term longitudinal method. Assessments included Adult Attachment Relationships (Questionnaire (RQ), Relationships Scales Questionnaire (RSQ)), Emotion- Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), Interaction Anxiousness Scale (IAS), and Lum Emotional Availability of Parents (LEAP) measure. The results demonstrated both stability and changes in adult attachment. More importantly, students who maintained a secure attachment style and those who transitioned from insecure attachment to secure attachment experienced higher levels of maternal emotional availability when compared to those maintaining an insecure attachment style. This study is the first attempt to identify stability and change in college students' adult attachment and its relation to interpersonal functioning, and maternal emotional availability. Limitations and suggestions for future research are also discussed.
