      Objectives: This study was designed to find out the more efficient way to treat the Dysmenorrhea(월경통) that these days most modern women are suffering from by using acupuncture and moxibution(침구). Methods: This research was based on histor...

      Objectives:
      This study was designed to find out the more efficient way to treat the Dysmenorrhea(월경통) that these days most modern women are suffering from by using acupuncture and moxibution(침구).
      Methods:
      This research was based on historical books and materials connected with acupuncture and moxibution and 34 kinds of books associated with acupuncture and moxibution recently issued in South Korea, China, and Japan. Then various treatment methods of acupuncture and moxibution on the Dysmenorrhea were analyzed in this research and outcomes were as follows.
      Result and Conclusions:
      1. 131 blood points including 125 the Ordinary blood points(정경혈) and 6 the Extraordinary blood points(경외기혈) were used in curing the diseases related to the Dysmenorrhea.
      2. When it comes to the blood points used in this remedy, blood points located in the lower part of our body were mainly used in the case of region, BL(Bladder Meridian 족태양방광경) in Meridian pathways(경락), and Saninko(삼음교) in the blood points.
      3. Main blood points for treating the diseases related to the Dysmenorrhea are as follows; Saninko(삼음교), Kekkai(혈해), Kokan(행간), Taisho(태충), Gokoku(합곡), Jinyu(신유), Jiro(차료), Chukyoku(중극), Kangen(관원), Kikai(기해).
      4. In order the treatment to be effective, continuous study to look into more accurate causes of the diseases associated with Dysmenorrhea is required.
