During the operation heat generation in a Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIBs) is inevitable and requires thermal management system for its use in EVs, portable electronics etc. LIBs show high performance when its temperature is maintained at operating temperature range and temperature gradient in a battery is mitigated. Here, in this work we have modeled All-Solid-State LIBs using COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6 to estimate heat generation and see its effect in Pouch cell geometry. Additionally, we have suggested a pin fin array air cooling system to cool down surface of a pouch cell. Pin fin array cooling system seems to be a promising cooling alternative to locally enhance heat transfer in all-solid-state pouch cell to dissipate heat in different regions of the cell making it a good candidate for its use in thermal management system in EVs with next generation batteries.
