다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study tries to examine receptions of classical novels in rural communities, laying stress on instances of Mrs. Lee Man-chul(李萬出) who was occupied with reading of the novels, as professional reader(講讀師) for illiterate peasants. The professional reader contributed to a spread of the novels and a expansion of readers in a process of a circulation of classical novels. But a research on the readers has been far between and even some papers have restricted an object of study to the men's readers as yet.
This study will research into distinctive features of women's readers and a process of reading and reception of the classical novels. And this paper tries to study a relation between the audiences and professional readers, actual condition of the reading and texts etc.
