The purpose of this study is to compare the reduction of the impact of stress event and the effect of post-traumatic growth through conducting a group program based on Imagery Rescripting(IR) technique in two ways, a verbalization mediation strategy and a visualization mediation strategy, for trauma survivors. The verbalization and visualization mediation strategies were re-scripted and developed based on the Arntz and Weertman's IR model stage 3. In order to confirm the degree of post-traumatic growth of the client after traumatic event and trauma-related emotions and rescripting, group members with a score of 17 or higher on the Stress Event Impact Scale (IES-R-K) in the pre-test were targeted. Group members who scored 17 points or more were sequentially assigned to experimental group 1, 2, and waiting group, and the IR group program was conducted. After the process, data from experimental group 1(n=12), an erimental group 2(n=11), and a waiting group(n=10) were collected and the effects of each were compared. As a result, it was verified that the group program using the Imagery Rescripting technique reduced stressful event shock, depression, and anxiety compared to the waiting group and had a significant effect on the promotion of post-traumatic growth. In addition, it was confirmed that the intervention of IR used in individual work was effective in the verbalization mediation strategy and visualization mediation strategy group program respectively.
