뻬뜨루솁스까야 산문의 문체적 특징 고찰 = A Study on Style Characteristics of Contemporary Russian Prose : Based on the Literary Works of L.Petrushevskaya

The purpose of this study is to analyze the literary style of Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, a Russian woman writer who takes a crucial position in contemporary Russian literature against a backdrop of general linguistic aspects appearing in contemporary Russian prose.
It is advisable that studies on literary style should inevitably involve analysis on the functions and effects of style instruments that reveal any theme of a literary work from the macroscopic perspective with a view to following up the world view of author as revealed in his or her work. Based on a discussion that a style refers to a theme from the above standpoint, this study is focused upon how any linguistic form and content was revealed with style in works of Petrushevskaya becomes consistently unified with each other.
Chapter 1 made a general examination into linguistic aspects shown in contemporary Russian prose, and Chapter 2 sought to make a further analysis on Petrushevskaya’s short novel titled From the Mountain on the basis of discussions in preceding chapter. Here, it was most noticeable how narrator’s viewpoint is expressed through frequent use of dissonant styles and insertion. At the same time, this study exemplified actual cases that style instruments of From the Mountain, a work of Petrushevskaya under analysis were used again for her other work, so that it sought to understand general characteristics of her literary styles.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 현대러시아 산문에 나타나는 전반적인 언어적 양상을 배경으로 현대러시아 문학에서 중추적인 위상을 차지하고 있는 류드밀라 뻬뜨루솁스까야의 작품에 나타난 문체의 특징을 분석한 것이다. 문체연구는 작품에 드러난 작가의 세계관을 규명하고자 하는 거시적 측면에서 작품의 주제를 드러내는 문체적 장치들의 기능과 효과에 대한 분석을 필연적으로 수반해야 할 것이다. 이와 같은 입장을 토대로 본 논문은 문체가 곧 주제라는 논의에 입각하여 뻬뜨루솁스까야의 작품에서 문체로 드러나는 언어 형식과 내용이 어떻게 통일되어 있는가에 분석의 초점을 맞추었다.
본 논문의 두 번째 장에서는 현대러시아 산문에 나타나는 언어적 양상을 개괄적으로 살펴보고 있으며, 세 번째 장에서는 앞장에서 살펴본 내용들을 토대로 뻬뜨루솁스까야의 단편, 「산으로부터」의 세밀한 분석을 시도하였다. 이때 무엇보다 주목한 것은 문체적 불협화음과 삽입구문의 빈번한 사용을 통해 서술자의 관점이 어떻게 표출되고 있는가 하는 것이다. 이와 동시에 분석 대상이 된 작품에 나타난 문체적 장치들이 다른 작품에서도 반복되는 경우들을 예시함으로써 본 논문은 뻬뜨루솁스까야의 문체가 가지는 전반적인 특징에 대한 이해를 도모하고 있다.
