This article reports the results of the noise analysis in a 3 phase squirrel induction motor in the anechoic chamber by the sound intensity analysing system whith has follawing merits :
i) there was no need to correct the implicit noises.
ii) it was possible to draw the graphics of contour line and the third dimensional figures, and
iii) it was possible to detect the point at part of the induction motor the noise arises.
Furthermore, it was found in the experiment that the frequency of the noise arising from the small 3 phase squirrel inducion motor in a no-load situation was around 500Hz. And the most noisy part was the electricity soure part with around 57.6dB followed by the air duct part with about 55.7dB.
