흙 놀이 활동이 2세반 영아의 정서조절능력과 놀이성에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Soil Play Activities on the Emotional Regulation Ability and Playfulness of Two-year-old Toddlers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 흙 놀이 활동이 2세반 영아의 정서조절능력과 놀이성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 J시에 소재한 어린이집 영아 28명을 실험집단 14명과 비교집단 14명에 배정하여 실험집단에는 흙 놀이 활동을 제공하였고 비교집단에는 주제에 따른 실외놀이를 제공하였다. 주 2회씩 8주 동안 흙 놀이 활동을 제공한 후, 실험집단과 비교집단에게 사전, 사후 정서조절능력과 놀이성 검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 통계 프로그램을 활용하여 비모수 통계방법인 Wilcoxon’s signed-rank test를 실시하여 통계 처리하였다. 연구결과 흙 놀이 활동을 제공한 실험집단이 비교집단에 비해 정서조절능력과 놀이성에서 유의미한 효과가 나타났다. 연구결과를 기반으로 하여 흙 놀이에 대한 관심과 흙 놀이의 가치에 대한 재조명이 필요함을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of soil play activities on the emotional regulation ability and playfulness of two-year-old toddlers. For this purpose, 28 toddlers in J-city were randomly assigned to 14 experimental groups and 14 comparative groups, and the experimental group was provided with the soil play activities, and the comparative group was provided with the outdoor play activities according to themes. After eight weeks of play activities twice a week, the experimental group and the comparative group were tested for pre and post emotional regulation ability and playfulness. The data collected was statistically analyzed running Wilcoxon s signed-rank test, a non-parametric statistical method using SPSS statistical program. As a result, the experimental group that was provided with the soil play activities encountered significant change in the emotional regulation ability and playfulness compared to the comparative group. Based on the results of the study, the researchers suggested that the interest in the soil play activities and a review of the value of the soil play are necessary.
