강진 다산문화의 활용 현황과 과제

국문 초록 (Abstract)

다산에게 강진은 유배지이자 학문과 삶의 공간이었다. 그리고 강진에서 다산은 지역의 문화와 풍광, 사람, 아픔과 함께 호흡하는 이웃이었다. 서로가 동행했던 18년 동안 많은 성과와 자취, 그리고 스토리가 쌓여갔다. 또한 여기에는 다산이 ‘죄인’으로서 수밖에 없었던 당대의 구조, 그리고 강진의 연혁과 사회경제적 위상이 배경으로 자리한다. 이로써 이들이 엮어낸 유·무형의 문화를 강진의 ‘다산문화’라고 정의할 수 있다.
일찍부터 강진군과 다산박물관, 그리고 연세대학교 부설 강진다산실학연구원은 강진의 다산문화를 진작 및 활용하기 위해 많은 노력을 경주해왔다. 유적지의 복원에서부터, 전시 및 체험의 강화, 컨텐츠의 개발, 교육 및 문화사업의 다변화 등이 그러하다.
이와 같은 성과를 토대로 하되, 앞으로의 강진 ‘다산문화’ 활용은 ‘4차 산업혁명’이라는 전환의 시기에 부응해야 한다. 기술적 진보가 공간의 물리적 한계를 극복할수록, 역설적이게도 인간의 삶은 더욱 단절, 소외되고 있기 때문이다. 이로써 본다면 인간과 사회에 대한 공감과 치유는 우리 사회에 던져진 중요한 과제이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

For Dasan, Gangjin was a place of exile and also a place of study and life. For Gangjin, Dasan was a neighbor who breathed with local culture, scenery, people, and their pain. During the 18 years that they accompanied each other, many achievements, traces, and stories had been accumulated. It is also set in the background of the structure of the time when Dasan was forced to come down as a "sinner," and the history and socio-economic status of Gangjin. This allows us to define the tangible and intangible culture that they had woven as ‘Dasan culture’ in Gangjin.
Gangjin-gun, Dasan Museum, and Gangjin Institute of Dasan Studies attached to Yonsei University have made great efforts to promote and utilize Dasan culture of Gangjin. This includes the restoration of historical sites, strengthening exhibitions and experience programs, development of contents, and diversification of educational and cultural projects.
Based on such achievements, the future use of ‘Dasan Culture’ in Gangjin should meet the transition period of the ‘4th Industrial Revolution’. This is because the more technological advances overcome the physical limitations of space, ironically, human life is being cut off and alienated. In this regard, empathy and healing for humans and society is an important task for our society.
