The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the bond performance between two materials: high strength concrete and steel rectangular pipe. The composite members are manufactured by using headed shear stud as shear connector. Diameter of shear connector, ratio of diameter to height of shear connector were considered as variables for experiment. And failure mode, maximum load and bond stress were evaluated. The test results indicate that the bond strength between concrete and steel rectangular pipe is most improved when the diameter increases and H/d ratio is up to 5.5.
