홍대 앞 버스킹 문제 해소를 위한 커뮤니티 서비스 디자인 = The Mobile Community Service Design for Busking Issues in Hongdae Area

Hongdae reminds us of youth, freedom, and uniqueness. Since the mid 2000s, it has become really commercialized and be famous for its tourist attraction and larg shopping area. Even though gentrification affected to change original, interesting places, we can see busking easily on Hongdae walking street until now. The street crowded with people who enjoy it every weekend. Busking is a great sightworthy show for people visiting Hongdae. Even though it causes infringement of commercial supremacy and noises for residents of Hongdae, the authority has enforced neither legal nor administrative regulation appropriately. The objective of this study is to solve those community problems incurred by immature busking performances. This study proposes a service design based on mobile community function, pursuing positive busking culture coexisting with local society. This study also diagnosed current situation of busking in Hongdae through field observation, contextual inquiry, affinity diagram and modeling. The service for improving busking problems was designed and verified with phased prototyping and usability test. As a result, it can contribute to understanding current Korean busking reality, and development of busking culture with self-purification by buskers.
