This study examined the causes, part and treatment period of injuries in man university hockey players by their training and the injury careers of the players in their twenties with the 6-year career for 3 years. The subjects of the research were total 188 including GK 15, DF 52., MF 55 and FW 66 by positions.
1. They showed the most frequent injuries in the part of leg, followed by foot and arm Injury of the skin was highest, followed by muscle and tendon.
2. According to injury rates of hockey players by positions, D,F group was highest, followed by F.W group, M.F group and G.K group, and D.F group, F.W group and G.K group showed higher injuries in the pert of leg and M.F group showed higher injuries in the part of muscle and tendon, x² test showed statistically significant difference (p<.01).
3. According to the period of injuries, it was highest in all positions in the period of main training, followed by the periods of game, physical training and personal training According to the season of injuries, it was highest in winter, followed by spring, summer and autumn.
4. According to the treatment period by the injuries, most of them had treatment for 0-7 days after injury, followed by 8-14 days, 15-2.1 days, over 29 days and 22-28 days, and according to the causes of injury by positions, hit by ball was highest, followed by stick, other factors and lack of protective facilities.
5. Of injury parts, injury of the skin was high in blister, that of muscle and tendon was frequent in bruise of muscle and bone and in joint sprain, x² test of joint injuries by positions showed statistically significant difference.
