Adsorption of metal ions(Ag^+, Co^2+, Zn^2+)from water by the formal in
treated leaves of Cucurbita moschata was survered by atomic absorption
spectroscopy. Rate of adsorption by the formal in treated leaves of
Curcurbita moschata was evaluated under he condition of variation in
temperature, stirring time, pH and metal ion concentration.
The result is as follows ;
Formalin treated sample has the greater adsorbability than nontreated
sample and active carbon, it did not denaturated on the 110^˚C and room
temperature at the long period. The adsorption of metal ions by the formal
in treated leaves of Cucurbita evaluated useful scavenger. Adsorption of
Silver, Cobalt and Zinc by the formalin treated leaves of Cucurbita
moschata roughly follows a Freundlich Isotherms in the concentration range
each 5-20㎍/ml of Ag^+, Co^2+ and Zn^2+.
In the Freundlich Isotherms ;
log X/m = 1/n log C + log K
the value of 1/n in in Ag^+, Co^2+ and Zn^2+ is each 0.552,0.769 and C.645
the value of log K in Ag^+, Co^2+ and Zn^2+ is each 2.654,2.634 and 2.570
Ag^+ ; logX/m = 0.552 logC + 2,654
Co^2+ ; logX/m = 0.769 logC + 2,634
ZN^2+ ; logX/m = 0.646 logC + 2,570
