노화불안이 노후준비에 미치는 영향: 성공적 노화인식의 매개효과를 중심으로 = Impact of Aging Anxiety on Preparation for Old Age: Focused on Mediating Effect of Perceived Successful Aging

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 노화불안과 노후준비의 관계에서 성공적 노화인식의 매개효과를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 본 연구는 S사이버대학교 재학생 220명을 대상으로 2022년 8월 29일부터 2022년 9월 19일까지 교내 포털 시스템을 통한 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며 본 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회인구학적 특성에 따른 노화불안과 성공적 노화인식 및 노후준비의 차이를 살펴본 결과, 노화불안은 연령과 경제적 수준 및 건강 상태에서, 성공적 노화인식은 연령에서, 노후준비는 연령과 경제적 수준 및 건강 상태에서 통계적으로 유의미한 집단간 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 노화불안과 성공적 노화인식이 노후준비에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과, 노화불안과 노후준비는 유의미한 정적 상관관계가, 성공적 노화인식과 노후준비는 유의미한 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 즉, 노화불안이 높을수록 노후준비는 낮았으며, 성공적 노화인식이 높을수록 노후준비는 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노화불안과 노후준비의 관계에서 성공적 노화인식의 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 노화불안이 성공적 노화인식을 통해 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 간접 효과가 나타났다.

This study delved into the mediating effect of perceived successful aging on the relationship between aging anxiety and preparation for old age. This study conducted an online survey through the university portal system with 220 students from S Cyber University from August 29, 2022, to September 19, 2022. The findings can be summarized as follows. Firstly, statistically significant group differences were observed on different sociodemographic characteristics; aging anxiety is correlated with age, economic status, and health status; perception of successful aging is associated with age; and preparation for old age is linked to age, economic status, and health status. Secondly, an analysis of the impact of aging anxiety and successful aging perception on the preparation for old age revealed that aging anxiety and preparation for old age showed an inverse correlation. In contrast, the perception of successful aging and preparation for old age exhibited a positive correlation. In other words, a higher level of aging anxiety was associated with lower preparedness for old age. In contrast, a stronger perception of successful aging was linked to greater preparedness for old age. Lastly, the investigation into the mediating effect of the perception of successful aging in the relationship between aging anxiety and preparation for old age revealed an indirect influence of aging anxiety on preparedness for old age through the perception of successful aging.
