체육교육 전공 대학생의 삶에 대한 이해

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 체육교육 전공 대학생들이 경험하는 생활과 문화를 알아보고, 그들이 겪고 있는 고민이나 갈등을 이해하며, 그러한 어려움들을 어떻게 해결하며 적응해 나가는지를 통하여 체육교육 전공자의 삶을 이해하고자 한다. 이 과정을 탐색하기 위해 질적 연구방법 중 사례연구방법(case study)을 활용하였고, 체육교육을 전공으로 하는 학생들 중 2학년과 3학년 학생 12명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다.
자료 수집과 자료 분석은 상호보완적인 관계를 유지하면서 진행하였고, 심층 면담 자료와 참여 관찰 자료를 통합하여 귀납적 범주분석방법을 사용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 사범대학 체육교육과 학생들은 개인마다 다양한 동기를 가지고 입학하여 체육과 특유의 ‘한지붕 한가족 문화’를 구성하고 있었으며 스스로 삶을 계획하고 실천하려는 적극적 모습을 가지고 있었다.
둘째, 그들은 여가 시간의 활용 부족, 수업의 선택 및 목적, 교사가 되기 위한 꿈과 현실 사이에서 많은 고민과 갈등을 하고 있었다.
셋째, 진로 계획과 준비에 있어서 체육교육과 학생들은 특유의 당당하고 패기 넘치는 모습으로 자신의 꿈과 희망을 위해 주체적으로 도전하고 준비하였다.
체육교육과 학생들은 체육교육학의 내적 성숙과 외적 성장이라는 나무의 뿌리인 체육교육학과의 저변 확대를 위한 씨앗이자 원동력이다. 그들의 생활과 문화 속에서 체육이라는 소재를 통해 자율적으로 교육적 의미를 찾고 신체활동에 흥미를 가지고 지속적으로 평생스포츠를 즐길 수 있도록 지속적인 관심과 끊임없는 연구가 이루어져야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to understand life of the PE major by seeking their life style and culture, understanding their worries and conflicts as well as seeing the ways to resolve their problems and to become accustomed to these issues. For the study, case study, one type of qualitative research methods, was conducted with 12 sophomores and juniors who are studying PE currently.
Data collection and analysis were fulfilled while maintaining their complementary correlation and inductive category analysis was used in an in-depth interview and participation observation data altogether. Results of this study are as follows.
First, students of PE major in college of education decided to study it with diverse purposes and formed a distinctive culture called ‘one roof and one family.' Also they act actively in planning their lives and actualizing them.
Second, they have much worries and stress from a lack of free time, class choice and purpose, dream to become a teacher and reality.
Third, in terms of career planning and preparation, they challenged and prepared for their dreams and hopes independently in animated and vibrant manner.
They are driving forces of PE major, which is a root for internal maturation and external growth of PE. Research should continue to be conducted with great interests in order to enable them to find educational meanings through physics in their life and culture as well as to enjoy sports with interests in physical activities continuously.
