『윤리와 사상』 교과서 분석과 개선 방안 탐색

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 주로 고등학교 2, 3학년 선택중심 교육과정에 따른 선택과목의 하나인 『윤리와 사상』의 현행 교과서를 분석해 보고, 학교 현장에서 효과적인 교육 활동을 수행하는데 걸림돌이 되는 문제점들을 중심으로 살펴보고, 이를 개선하기 위한 다양한 방안을 구체적으로 제시하는 데 주 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 (1)『윤리와 사상』 과목에 대한 도덕과 교육과정의 성격 규명과 내용체계의 특징, (2)이상적인 도덕과 교과서의 모습, (3)교과서의 분석 기준(틀), (4)분석 기준에 따른 교과서의 문제점 발견 및 개선 방향 제시, (5)2005학년도 대수능 시험 체제의 변화에 따른 파행적 운영의 극복 방안 등을 다루었다. 하지만 이러한 연구 결과는 추후 교사의 적응 능력, 교육 여건 개선, 그리고 대수능 시험을 비롯한 대학입학시험 체제의 변화 등과 맞물려 큰 영향을 받을 수밖에 없다. 이러한 현실적 여건을 충분히 고려하면서 단계적으로 『윤리와 사상』 교과서의 개선이 지속적이고 체계적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 구체적인 교과서 분석과 대안 제시를 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The 『Ethics and Thought』 subject was adopted initially as an high school elective subject matter in the Seventh National Curriculum Reform. Despite of difficult educational realities, this subject has been in comparative advantage. Although, compared to other elective subject matters, the 『Ethics and Thought』 subject has many excellent parts, this study does not explore the excellent parts of this subject but focuses on parts that need to be improved. The information on such improvement will be helpful for the development of new textbook in the following curriculum reform. The purposes of this study are to analyze the 『Ethics and Thought』 textbook for high school second and third grades, to explore problems in implementing this subject in the educational field, and to suggest specificly diverse solutions for the problems. Based on these purposes, this study focuses on the following tasks. First, this study explores identification of moral education curriculum in the 『Ethics and Thought』 subject and characteristics of the subject's contents. Second, this study examines concepts of desirable moral education textbooks, and then, establishes a framework to analyze the content and structure system of the 『Ethics and Thought』 textbook for its modification and supplement. Third, based on the framework, this study investigates problems in the content and structure system of the 『Ethics and Thought』 textbook, and suggests directions to solve the problems. Fourth, this study identifies problems in the crippled implementation of the 『Ethics and Thought』 subject in accordance with changes of the national college entrance test system in 2005, and suggests restricted solutions to overcome such problems. However, the findings of this study will be affected by teachers' adjusting ability, improvement of the educational environment, and changes of the college entrance test system. Considered these kinds of conditions, if the 『Ethics and Thought』 textbook is improved in continuous and systematic ways, it would provide positive responses of teachers, students, and parents to the moral education subject matter and further, contribute practically to moral development of students. Additionally, this study will be a reference to development of a new 『Ethics and Thought』 textbook as a high school elective subject in the next National Curriculum Reform, and will help teachers and students to improve their reliability in the moral education textbook.
