개발협력의 기업 참여 활성화를 위한 ESG와 SDGs의 연계 사례 연구 = The Case Study on Linkage between ESG and SDGs for Encouraging Participants of Enterprises in Development Cooperation

Uncertainty in the global has accelerated due to rapid economic and social changes, owing to COVID-19 and Russia-Ukraine war, and making more difficult to secure development resources for achievement SDGs. In order to overcome these limitation development resources, it needs to participate the enterprises for securing new development sources. This study is to focus on the participation of enterprises for securing mobilizing additional financial resources to achieve SDGs of international society, to encourage the international development cooperation through exploring case study on the linkage with SDGs and ESG of the enterprises. This study was conducted through systematic literature review and case study. The questions are to literature review on theory of development cooperation and ESG, relations analysis on ESG and SGDs, case study and implications on the linkage between ESG and SDGs.
In conclusion, first, the 17 goals of SDGs and three core pillars of ESG are closely related, and it may use the enterprises. Second, international society recognized the financial resources and expand the definition of ODA for the achievement of SDGs. For this, it may encourage the enterprises through ESG. Third, It need to invest and develop the partner country through participating the enterprises. In recommendation, first, it needs to encourage the linkage ESG and SDGs in order to participate the FDI, technology and management. Second, it may put evaluation indicator to implement SDGs in partner for ESG evaluation. Third, it needs to encourage the enterprise as well as NGO to secure the development resources through the linkage with ESG and SDGs. Last, it may consider on the research of the participants of the private sector as a starting point of discussion for the post-SDGs.
