As the study of Zhuzi philosophy went further and further at the later age of Chosen, the study of Zhuziyulei therefore became more and more active. Meanwhile, more books about Zh uzi were taught in Jingyan經筵 as an important link in the chain of Monarchy study. In Yingzuft era, Zhuziyulei was chosen as a textbook used in Jingyan. Within about five months, from October 12, 1740, to the next March 14, Zhuziyuiei was mentioned twenty four times at Zhaodui召對. Actually, Zhuziyulei is a dialogues collection in which the students raise questions and Zhuzi offers his answers. The reason why Zhuzi students compiled Zhuziyulei is that they intended to bring alive the teaching scenes in Zhuzi`s class to make future generations understand Zhuzi philosophy more easily. However, because of the differences in context of situation, the baihuaII version, which is written in modern Chinese, is more obscure than its wenyan version, which is written in ancient Chinese, for Korean scholars to understand. Moreover, it is not an easy work to get the core of Zhuzi philosophy in this 140-volume book. Given this fact, only the contexts concerning monarchy study in Zhuziyulei was chosen to be taught in Jingyan in Yingzu era, and some Korean grammar signs(?吐) were also added above Chinese in order to make it easier. At that time, the 21-volume Zhuziyu1eichao朱子語類抄, which was used as zhaodui textbook, was selected from volume 93 to volume 137 of the current version of zhuziyulei. The KuizhanggeWI version of zhuziyuleichao which contains 21 volumes or 11 books is the zhaodui textbook used then.
