다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objective: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usability of guidelines for universal safety & design (USD).

Background: Universal design is an important design concept in the era of an aged and sustainable society.

Method: A questionnaire study was conducted to evaluate the extent to which the 46 USD guidelines could implement the universal design concept.

Results: The survey results show that USD guidelines reflect the UD concept. Also, USD guidelines reflect the design concept for sustainability and safety.

Conclusion: USD guidelines can be used for improving safety and health for products or working environments.

Application: The results are expected to contribute to creating safe and effective products or workplaces in the aged-society.
