박상륭 소설의 지역어 사용의 의미 = A Meaning of Using Local Language in Park Sang-ryung's Novel

국문 초록 (Abstract)

박상륭 소설은 표준어와 지역어라는 이중적인 언어를 사용한 이야기 방식을 취한다. 이러한 작가의 이야기 방식은 표준화된 의식 작용에 제동을 걸면서, 표준화된 언어를 거부하고 자신에게 체화된 언어로 자신의 이야기를 하고 있는 소설의 발언에 주목하게 만든다. 박상륭 소설은 이런 식으로 표준화된 가치체계가 만들어 낸 보편적인 삶의 문제를 역설적이게도 덜 보편화된 언어로 이야기하고 있다.
한편 박상륭의 초기소설에서 표준어와 지역어를 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 이상적인 공간으로 근대의 합리적인 세계가 아닌 폐쇄적이고 비현실적인 공간이 설정된 것을 볼 수 있다. 그 공간에서 표준어와 지역어로 주조되는 세상은 몽환적이면서도 각성을 요하게 한다. 소설 속에서 표준어와 지역어의 대비는 결국 이성과 비이성, 합리와 비합리가 극단적으로 대립하고 있는 근대의 이성 중심사회를 은유적으로 비춰준다.
이처럼 박상륭이 지속적으로 작품에서 방언을 사용하고, 작품을 여러 언어의 무늬로 완성해 가는 것은 작품을 통해 그가 생각하는 이상적인 바벨탑의 세계를 보여주는 방식이기도 하다. 풍부한 언어의 결을 지닌 다양한 언어들이 하나의 무늬를 만들고 의미를 완성해가는 작품처럼 이질적인 것들의 연대를 통해 하나가 되는 세상. 박상륭 소설은 그가 바라는 인간 세상의 모습이 작품 속에서 다채로운 언어의 결로 화한 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Park Sang-ryung's novel uses a story method which use standard language with local language in novel. These writer’s story method prevents operation of awareness from standardizing. And it makes people reject standardized language. Also it makes people focus on novel’s act of starting a conversation which said writer’s embodied language. Ironically Park Sang-ryung's novel says universal problem of life which made by standardized value system with less universal language.
Then again, this study picked out that his novel set up a closed and unrealistic narration space that are not rational world in modern to effectively use standard language and local language in the Park Sang-ryung's an earlier novel. That world which made standard language and local language is dreamlike and have to awaken. Standard language and local language’s contrast in Park Sang-ryung's novel says that modern world is rationalism society which world is in confrontation with rationality and irrationality.
Like this, Park Sang-ryung's using local language and completing novel in various linguistic subtleties is showing the ideal Tower of Babel’s world which made by his novel. Park Sang-ryung's desire that world is become one through solidarity such as various language’s harmony which has an abundant linguistic subtleties. Park Sang-ryung's novel is to change his desire with various linguistic subtleties.
