This thesis aimed to observe the speciality of the woodblock print techniques which has its value as a field of formative expression and materials and techniques following production of woodblock, and to study the technical aspect of printing, and to overcome the technical variety and limitation in the woodblock print.
The method of study was, first of all, to consider the originated background of the woodblock print and printing, and to study the process from the woodblock materials and ink, paper, plate making to printing on the technical aspect.
The printing techniques and the woodblock print being accomplished by manual work which have been developed based on the modern scientific development have very similar points on the materials or technical aspect, and it, is considered that taking this opportunity, it may be helpful to understand the materials and techniques of the woodblock print and printing, and to re-establish the relations between them, and by applying the materials and techniques of highly developed. printing to the woodblock print, the limitation in the woodblock work can be overcome.
