가상가치평가법을 활용한 세계유산 고창 갯벌의 보존가치 영향요인 분석 = Analysis of the Determinants of the Conservation Value of the Gochang Tidal Flat World Heritage Using the Contingent Valuation Method

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 조건부가치측정법(CVM)을 활용하여 고창 갯벌 보존에 대한 지불의사금액(WTP)에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 하였다. 가상적 상황, 자동이체 동의, 개인정보 제공 등 세 가지 지불환경을 제시하여 현실적 조건에 따른 응답 변화를 분석하였다. 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과, 세계유산 가치 인식, 지속가능지능, 방문 경험은 일관되게 지불의사를 높이는 유의한 요인이었으며, 소득⋅교육 수준 등 사회경제 변수는 대체로 유의하지 않았다. 지불금액이 상승할수록 지불의사가 대체적으로 감소하는 경향이 나타났으며, 실제적 조건이 부과될수록 WTP는 감소하는 결과가 나타났다. 본 연구는 지불의사 형성의 핵심 요인을 제시함으로써 세계자연유산인 고창 갯벌의 보전 및 활용을 위한 정책 수립에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study identifies key determinants influencing willingness to pay (WTP) for the conservation of the Gochang Tidal Flat, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, using the Contingent Valuation Method. Respondents were presented with three scenarios, a hypothetical setting, a direct debit, and an additional personal information provision, to evaluate how increasing payment realism influences payment decisions. Logistic regression analysis revealed that recognition of heritage value, sustainability intelligence, and prior visitation experience significantly increased WTP, whereas socioeconomic variables such as income and education were generally insignificant. WTP declined as payment conditions become more realistic, and Turnbull estimates were employed as supplementary indicators of public support. These findings underscore the importance of value recognition, responsibility toward sustainability, and experiential engagement in shaping conservation behavior and provide practical implications for policy design for tidal flat heritage sites.
